****Supervisor: ****Chief Executive Officer (CEO)****Responsibilities:****ISM will be responsible for supervising any Sales Representatives (SRs) that are brought on board to our clients company to ensure that all SRs are confident, trained and comfortable to make successful new business deals. ISM will also assist with ensuring that all SRs are hitting company numbers and goals, while coaching and developing the skills of the new SRs. Responsibilities include supporting all company initiatives, performing all duties as assigned by Company, and:****_Primary:_***** Assist (mentor) SRs with training, systems, pricing, and other miscellaneous questions that are posed.* Assist to hire, train and manage SRs, at a pace the Company may determine at any time.* Effectively, professionally and proactively, coordinate service needs and problem resolution within SR team, and across the Company, including Account Managers and Carrier Sales teams.* Effectively and professionally facilitate and communicate service needs and problem resolution between operations and sales when CEO is not available.* Year on year growth regularly exceeds company goals, and 75% of peers* Effectively stands in for leadership team, in any account meeting when CEO is not available, or when presence is requested.* Effectively plans and utilizes team resources for ADS, COB and customer presentations.* Demonstrates effective customer and prospect management and can be counted on to accurately plan future expected customer territory growth.* Strong understanding of prospects and customers in his/her account portfolio.* Effective use, knowledge and presentation skills using MS Office (Word, Excel, PP).* ISM demonstrates strong organizational and planning skills as it relates to efficient field travel and account portfolio management.****_Other Responsibilities Include_****:* Ensure new SRs are fluent in all job requirements, including Socratic Selling, our CRM, and our Transportation Management Software (TMS).* Handle confidentially, all Company financial data, customer and carrier names, contacts, documents, plans, and other information, all of which the Company deems confidential and private.* Handle confidentially, all SR information; manage performance metrics on individuals and seek improvement; recommend termination, if needed; With HR, screen new SR candidates continually.* Be aware of, review, know where to find, and work in accordance with, Company policies and procedures.* Ensure customer meetings are planned and conducted with purposeful agenda, attend as many as is prudent.* Field travel as necessary.
* ****Skills, Education and Experience:**** * College degree preferred but not required * Thorough knowledge of the book, Socratic Selling * 3-5 years transportation sales experience preferred * Managerial experience preferred * Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Ability to work in a team and independently * Experience working in a TMS and CRM * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word & Excel * Demonstrated ability to pay close attention to detail and provide consistent follow-through * Ability to balance competing priorities
